Yahoo!

I have been breaking the (bad) habit of having the same password for everything lately and just recently, I forgot my password to my Yahoo, ergo, flickr account. I believe I signed up for that account back in high school, which is now ten years ago. Using the forgot password mechanism didn’t help because I don’t remember the values that I supplied during sign up anymore. The first question was country and postal code. Not that I’ve been to many countries, but I’ve been in a number of postal codes already. I moved a lot back in the Philippines and here I’ve already moved twice. I’ve also had the habit of putting in postal codes of where I work instead of where I live because of my constant moving, which I guess was a bad idea because it only increased the number of postal codes possible. Anyway, I eventually found the postal code and country that I used. The next question was, my security question, “What is your pet’s name”. Aside from real pets, I also had stuffed toy pets, and gadget pets. At that point I just gave up and contacted customer service. They needed some way to verify my identity, luckily, I still had access to the alternate email that I provided. (luckily, I provided an alternate email!). So long story short, I got my password reset and it all happened within a day. I’m a happy customer. What I really wanted to share is the very nice presentation of their customer care satisfaction survey
