My colleague Chris just built a very useful IE8 accelerator! I’ve found myself in many situations where I’m reading a blog post or a review or even just checking ticketing websites for movies to watch and having to open a separate tab to go find trailers of the movie on line. With this accelerator, all I have to do is highlight the movie name and mouse over the link to get a box popup that makes use of the You Tube api to search for the movie title on you tube and pull a few videos for you. You can then view the video right on the page!
Because the application is actually doing a search on You Tube, you can use this for other scenarios as well, such as finding videos for a news item etc.
