Today I had my first meeting with Arbetsförmedlingen. It was supposed to be an in person meeting but they called yesterday to see if I can do the meeting over the phone and I said of course. It didn’t really sink in that I would have had to do the meeting in swedish. I’m happy to report though that I survived the meeting and I actually was able to understand and carry the conversation for 30 minutes. I found out about a few resources available to me, specifically instegsjobb and nyastartsjobb. I have some reading to do but it sounds like a good incentive program for companies to recruit new comers like me.
I’ve thought about what I want to do and it is either to focus on data analytics or switch over completely into software development. There seems to be a lot of developer jobs out there. I just need to find one that will take a chance on me.
